Card Video Tutorial Feat. Simon Says Stamp “Seeing Stars”

This week I created several cards featuring the August Simon Says Stamp card kit. It was really fun using a set that is not my usual “cutsie”image. Weekly Card Challenge Showcase-6 (Feat. Paper Smooches)

Today I am featuring this adorable stamp set by Paper Smooches titled “Space Cadet”. I created this universe background and I’m very pleased with the way it turned out. I used Distress Inks to ink blend, then added Perfect Pearls mixed with Gansai Tambi white watercolor to splash onto the blended piece. The cardstock I used is bristol smooth, it has proven to be the best cardstock for this type of technique. I used my Copic markers to color these images and googly eyes to finish it off. Today I have yet another scene card. I am realizing I’m addicted to scene cards right now. This stamp set is by Lawn Fawn titled “Rooting for You” . I love getting to use stamp sets like this because I get to pull out my ink pads and use a bunch of different colors. After inking these images I found myself wishing there were more of a variety of veges. I am never satisfied! I always need more stamps! Anyway, this card was so fun to make. I ink blended the background with distress inks to resemble the morning sky. I entered this card into a few card challenges which I have linked below if you would like to participate. I am so excited to finally post this card using Mama Elephants “Pix’s Favorites”. As soon as I saw this set I knew I had to have it! I mean look at these little bunnies, one even has a kitten in her hands! Can this be any cuter? I colored these cuties using my Copic Markers and I also used the “Stitched Speech Bubbles” die from MFT as well. I am entering this card in the challenges below if you would like to join the fun. I water-colored this image, ink blended the background and added a die cut of the white picket fence. I love the sweet simplicity of this layout.
