Happy Fall-Featuring Newtons Nook, Lawn Fawn and Kat Scrappiness

Hey crafty friends, I have some awesome goodies to share with you today. I picked out some things from Kat Scrappiness’s store for this project. To create this card, I used the Newton’s Nook “Hanging Around” stamp set. This stamp set is so fun to play with because all the animals are hanging around! There are so many options you have to create a cute project. So for my card, I decided to use “Newton” and have him hanging on the clothes line from the Lawn Fawn stamp set titled “Little Bundle”.

So, as you can see above, I masked off Newton’s paws and facw so the clothes line would run under his paws. After I stamped the clothes line, I masked the entire image of Newton so I could do some ink blending on the background.

So, I decided to pick some mustard seed and orange marmalade to create a warm colored fall background. I blended the top and bottom of the bristol panel with the yellow and middle portion with the orange. After the ink blending, I spritzed some water on the panel to create this blotchy effect.

I then moved on to the Copic coloring. I then heat embossed in gold the words “Happy Fall” with a scripty font stamp set. I also used my stitched rectangle dies to create the layers for my card.

I used glitter paper for my matting of course. I try to use glitter paper as much as possible, lol. I cut out the sentiment from vellum and embellished the card with Kat’s “Autumn Harvest” sequins. I just love these cute hanging animals and I hope you did too. Thanks for stopping by and don’t forget to check out the supplies I used listed below. Happy Fall Ya’ll!

Weekly Card Challenge Showcase-6 (Feat. Paper Smooches)

Today I am featuring this adorable stamp set by Paper Smooches titled “Space Cadet”. I created this universe background and I’m very pleased with the way it turned out. I used Distress Inks to ink blend, then added Perfect Pearls mixed with Gansai Tambi white watercolor to splash onto the blended piece. The cardstock I used is bristol smooth, it has proven to be the best cardstock for this type of technique. I used my Copic markers to color these images and googly eyes to finish it off. I am entering this card into a few challenges that are listed below. Click on the links to join in the challenge. I hope your day is “out of this world”!

Weekly Challenge Showcase-1 (Feat. Lawn Fawn)

Today I have yet another scene card. I am realizing I’m addicted to scene cards right now. This stamp set is by Lawn Fawn titled “Rooting for You” . I love getting to use stamp sets like this because I get to pull out my ink pads and use a bunch of different colors. After inking these images I found myself wishing there were more of a variety of veges. I am never satisfied! I always need more stamps! Anyway, this card was so fun to make. I ink blended the background with distress inks to resemble the morning sky. I entered this card into a few card challenges which I have linked below if you would like to participate. Have an upbeet day!
